Fax supporting documents for individual returns filed electronically

CORRECTION (Corrected Fax Number)

The Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) reminds taxpayers and tax preparers that they can fax to LDR supporting documents for Louisiana Individual Income Tax Returns filed electronically.

The fax number for supporting documents is 225-219-6221 225-231-6221.

LDR recommends that tax preparers transmit information for one taxpayer per fax transmission. Attempting to send information for more than one taxpayer per transmission delays processing and increases the likelihood of errors.

When faxing supporting documents, place the Social Security Number and tax year on each page of the materials.

More information is available on the LDR website.

In addition, LDR encourages the use of Louisiana File Online, the fast, easy-to-use, free tax filing application.  With Louisiana File Online, you can instantly and securely upload scanned copies of your supporting documents.
